ZOOMARS Changes Ownership With Help of DiGonzini Real Estate Group

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The DiGonzini Real Estate Group, one of Orange County's most innovative real estate teams, today announced the successful transaction of selling historic ZOOMARS to River Street Project Developer Frontier Properties. The real estate group represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction. After 15 years, the new ownership will focus on looking at ways to improve as well as remaining a staple in San Juan Capistrano. The sale of the property ensures the much-loved local treasure will continue to entertain millions of families while the proposed River Street Marketplace project aims to be built on property adjacent to ZOOMARS.

ZOOMARS is a rustic Spanish-style farm in the heart of San Juan Capistrano which has been standing since 1980 and has three listings in the National Historical Register. For over 30 years, it has been a staple in the Los Rios Historic District and the picturesque estate. The property draws huge crowds on all major and themed holidays and has gained an iconic reputation for family fun and memories in Orange County. Previous owner Carolyn Franks developed a children's book character, Gillie Guinea Pig, as an added attraction. Gillie’s success has caught the attention of Hollywood which has lead to Franks putting the property up for sale and approaching Frontier. They both looked to the DiGonzini Real Estate Group to facilitate the sale.

“The transaction we recently completed with Louis was extremely complicated,” said Dan Almquist, Managing Partner, Frontier Group. “Throughout the process we relied heavily on Louis’s professionalism, expertise and integrity. I would highly recommend Louis as a trusted advisor on any real estate transaction or investment.”

The DiGonzini Real Estate Group is an affiliate of Keller Williams Realty located in Orange County who specialize in helping clients buy and sell property all over Southern California. Though they have hundreds of transactions under their belt, none have been as unique or achieved the magnitude of the ZOOMARS deal. The dedicated professional team headed up by Louis DiGonzini and Tyler Sudman worked to forge the optimal deal which would be in the best interest of both clients in the ZOOMARS negotiations. The new ZOOMARS ownership would not have been possible without the cooperation of both the ZOOMARS and the Frontier team with their mutual intention of growing the ZOOMARS brand while still preserving its iconic importance to the area.

“When Tyler first spoke to me about the potential transaction of ZOOMARS, we knew we would have to sell both the business and the real estate,” said Louis DiGonzini, Founder, DiGonzini Real Estate Group. “So we took this project on knowing it would be challenging but that it would also be unique and, mostly, it would be important. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but that it was an opportunity for us to grow and work with some amazing people.”
